Theatre
In 1995, during a rehearsal for the play “Das Schtetl und so” of Music –Forum Ammersfeld the director Heinz Ehrenfreund discovered the acting talent of Roman Grinberg by coincidence. Since then Grinberg has worked for in a variety of theatre projects. Thanks to the generous support from Erwin Javor and Anita Ammersfeld, Grinberg soon succeeded in establishing himself as an actor in Vienna. Mostly as a stage musician in a “double role” – as the musical director and as an actor.
In the fall of 2009 Grinberg founded together with the journalist Christian Schüller and the actor Peter Fuchs the theatre group „Mischpoche“. The ensemble consists of professional actors as well as ambitious amateurs. It is devoted to Jewish topics of the past and present. Currently the group is working on the first production „Vot ken you mach? Es is Amerike…“, a satirical musical revue of Christian Schüller and Roman Grinberg. Details at www.mischpoche.at
